Air Nigeria passengers from Gatwick airport to Murtala Muhammed stranded

Over 190 Air Nigeria passengers that were suppose to fly back to Nigeria got stuck in Gatwick Airport yesterday from 8:30am for 8 hours. The travelers were informed that there was a shortage of 'fuel' to fly the aircraft to Lagos, and were asked to contribute extra £40 each for the purchase of Aviation Fuel....!

Eventually, the plane scheduled to take off from Gatwick airport at 8:30am took off at 4:30pm and landed at the Murtala Muhammed International airport, Lagos at about 12:30am today.

After being delayed for 8hours, and arriving way past midnight, passengers were shocked to be informed that they would have to come back for their luggage at a later time.

Quite number of them are furious about what they were made to go through and have plans to sue the airline company and it's chairman, Jimoh Ibrahim. This information was received first hand from passengers aboard the aircraft.

From tomorrow, Monday 10th September, Air Nigeria may no longer fly..... for at least a year.
